Design Dispatch No. 03

My current aquatic project has me examining life on the coast of France and the influence of sea life in everyday living:

1. An elevated interpretation of the shell earrings from the Gucci Cruise collection that I obsessed over for far too long.
2. Giovanni de Maio + Cristina Celestino: Thalassa hand painted shell tiles from Clé. Love the illustrative characteristic.
3. Brugmansia - these were everywhere when I lived on Coronado Island and they smell incredible. Brugmansia also thrive in the warm seaside gardens along France’s coast.
4. The French Riviera, the Côte d’Azur. I love the myriad of sunbaked hues in local architecture.
5. A set of vintage shell high ball glasses from our cocktail lounge. Somehow they have survived 10+ years in my collection.
6. A pair of Barovier & Toso iridescent Murano glass clamshell sconce lights that I’d love to spec for my current project.
7. A gorgeous shell encrusted wall mirror. The detail and craft is exquisite.
8. A silver lobster and mother-of-pearl caviar dish. So charming, I need it.
9. The bright and floral French Negroni, a beloved apéritif on the coast of France.
10. Shell shaped vintage rattan bistro chairs, they’re quintessential for le petit-déjeuner on la terrasse bord de mer.
